Raising money for Youth Angling Programs

Winnipeg's corporate community has supported the Fish Winnipeg Media/Corporate Challenge and has helped deliver UAP youth programs and activities targeted at increasing the level of urban angling in Winnipeg. In doing so, the associated social and community benefits from providing a healthy, self-esteem building outdoor leisure activity for our youth is being realized.

Over the past 17 years, over $365,000 has been raised and the program continues to grow providing a unique opportunity for youth to experience the wonderful world of fishing. In addition, through the generous support of Fish Futures and its members, every child that has particpated in the program has received a brand new rod and reel combination. In 2008, the new Fisheries Enhancement Fund (FEF) started supporting the rod and reel program and will provide our youth with another opportunity to continue fishing well into the future.

Below is a list of those companies that have supported Fish Winnipeg; this "Made in Manitoba" program. This is one legacy everyone can be proud of for years to come!
